Kentucky basketball officially announce the signing of Talented Player from….
Will choosing Kentucky enhance Tyler Herro’s NBA Draft prospects? History gives a definitive answer.
Whitnall High School standout basketball player Tyler Herro officially singed with the University of Kentucky on Nov. 14, making the decision after verbally committing to Wisconsin in 2016 and decommitting in October.
Herro, who has scored 1,313 through three seasons with the Falcons, was already one of the most talked-about college prospects in the state, but his decision to switch gears has certainly increased his profile as a conversation topic.
It’s no secret that the University of Kentucky gives Herro a bigger platform if his goal is to get drafted into the National Basketball Association, but just how big is pretty staggering.
John Calipari took over the head coaching position at Kentucky for the 2009-10 season and has since produced a boatload of NBA Draft choices — a staggering 31, to be exact, including 24 first-rounders. That list includes NBA All-Stars John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis, as well as 2016 Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns.
