This summer, Ipswich Town may attempt to persuade this exceptional treasure to join the Portman Road ranks.

With the signing of Kieran McKenna’s new contract, all doubts over the Ipswich Town manager’s future at Portman Road have been completely dispelled.
This means that instead of focusing on possible managerial candidates to replace the former Manchester United star, the rumor mill will instead be spinning over potential signings to help Ipswich in their inaugural Premier League campaign.

Ipswich considering a “unique” solution for Hutchinson
The Tractor Boys are reportedly planning to pursue a permanent deal for their former outstanding loanee Omari Hutchinson, who scored 11 goals in all competitions during Ipswich’s incredible promotion campaign. However, if a move for the Chelsea young player is unsuccessful, they may be inclined to pursue signing this attacker instead.

Ipswich was reportedly planning a raid for Newcastle United star Miguel Almiron at the end of last month, according to a TEAMTalk report. A sum of about £21 million would be required to attempt to complete this ambitious deal.
How Hutchinson and Almiron are comparable
It’s not surprising to see Almiron’s name among those rumored to be off, as Eddie Howe’s team is looking to offload several players this off-season in order to shed some of the more seasoned professionals in the squad. The Paraguayan midfielder has made an impressive 209 appearances for the Toon since joining with much fanfare in 2019.
The former club record purchase, however, did not light up the Premier League this season for the Magpies. Hutchinson’s FBRef figures show that he has struggled in some areas over the past year, and the former Atalanta United man has only scored three goals in the league overall.
All the same, Almiron might end up being a fantastic Hutchinson substitute for Ipswich given his abundance of elite-level experience.
Even though he had a lackluster season overall, Howe recognized his ability in the division and called him “unique” after he scored the stunning goal below in a brilliant performance against Burnley.
Despite his impressive performance as a loan player for McKenna’s overachievers last season, Hutchinson, 20, has only played in the Premier League once for the Blues.
Almiron might be the seasoned leader they need to navigate the potentially turbulent waters with ease, since the rest of the Ipswich ranks are equally inexperienced with what it takes to cut their teeth making the step-up, having fought in the EFL the majority of their careers over playing in the bright lights of the Premier League.
Miguel Almiron, Premier League of the Newcastle
Twenty-seven of Almiron’s twenty-nine Newcastle appearances have been in the premier league, where the South American midfielder has scored 23 of his thirty goals for the Magpies.
Not that the winger’s abilities have drastically decreased on Tyneside either; in the 2022–2023 season, he scored 11 goals in the Premier League.
That was comparable to the numbers Hutchinson had in the league below until the devious five-foot-nine Toon attacker struggled this season, managing just three goals.
