United Airlines has unveiled new, limited-edition Wrexham AFC amenity kits and pajamas to celebrate the Welsh soccer team’s recent promotion to League One and its growing global popularity, thanks to the award-winning show, “Welcome to Wrexham.”
Starting June 1, passengers in United’s business class cabins on long-haul international flights will receive United x Wrexham AFC amenity cases.
These cases include travel essentials such as toothpaste, a toothbrush, an eye mask, earplugs, and a selection of toiletries, including Therabody eye serum, face spray, and tissues.
Additionally, business class passengers on flights lasting 14 hours or longer will receive a set of cozy pajamas.
These include a red, long-sleeved shirt adorned with United and Wrexham AFC crests and comfortable grey pants.
Passengers in the Premium Plus cabin will receive an ergonomic United x Wrexham AFC amenity pouch that easily fits into a standard carry-on bag.
“Our amenity kits are designed to provide customers with products that enhance their travel experience and create unique keepsakes to enjoy long after their flight,” said Peter Wolkowski, Director of Onboard Product Design at United.
“Wrexham’s story has been celebrated widely in recent years, and we’re excited to offer United customers exclusive team-branded gear.”
Last summer, United became the front-of-shirt sponsor for Wrexham, praising the soccer club and its fanbase as representing “the best of what professional sports has to offer.”
With Wrexham being owned by popular North American celebrities Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, it’s fitting that United would join the club’s meteoric rise.
