We haven’t even gotten serious dealing with the 2024 football schedule for the Arkansas Razorback,s and already folks are starting to look ahead to 2025.
Don’t expect things to get any easier next year, but it’s really too early to start making those projections.
Ross Dellenger at Yahoo Sports pointed out what’s expected to be the conference opponents for everybody in the league and it’s more prominent for who they are NOT playing … again.
Just when Nick Saban finally retired after never losing to the Razorbacks, the Crimson Tide fall off the schedule in back-to-back years.
In other words, the Hogs will flip this year’s conference opponents in where the game is played and make their first trip to Austin to play the Texas Longhorns in a conference game since 1990.
The Razorbacks are 1-1 in a couple of appearances.
The non-conference schedule in 2025 will be interesting primarily because they will play Arkansas State in Little Rock and are scheduled to play Notre Dame in Fayetteville.
We’re allowing a little wiggle room in there because these things tend to get changed late.
The Hogs’ trip to South Bend was scheduled for 2020, but that ended up being postponed with all of the COVID stuff going on.
A non-conference game on the road is scheduled for Memphis and a season opener against Missouri State in Razorback Stadium.
