After defeating Francisco Cerundolo in the fourth round of the French Open, Djokovic was forced to withdraw due to injury. After tearing his medial meniscus, Djokovic had surgery on his right knee in Paris eighteen days ago. He now has to wait and see if the injury heals in time for him to compete at Wimbledon.
On Sunday night, images of Djokovic were posted on social media by Wimbledon to welcome the seven-time champion. “A seven-time winner makes an appearance,” Wimbledon posted on X.
Djokovic, who was seen in photos with support on his right elbow and knee, will have a week to further heal before Wimbledon begins on July 1.
