Over the coming weeks, the Seattle Mariners are anticipated to be active in the trade market, and scouts who follow the team are huge admirers of six of its most promising prospects.
With a commanding 7.5-game lead over the Texas Rangers, the Mariners lead the American League West going into today’s MLB games. Despite their early struggles, they have become one of the top baseball teams in the last month after a stunning turnaround.

Their excellent and deep starting pitching staff is what has made them so formidable. But the batting order isn’t quite as intimidating, which is why they’ve been connected to a number of big impact bat transactions, including one involving Pete Alonso of the New York Mets.
The rumor throughout the league is that the Mariners have the kind of prospects that many clubs want, should they decide to part with some of their better prospects in order to acquire a game-changing bat. The Athletic’s Will Sammon, Patrick Mooney, and Ken Rosenthal wrote on Thursday that there are a lot of fans across the league for Seattle infield prospects Colt Emerson, Cole Young, Felnin Celesten, Harry Ford, Ben Williamson, and outfielder Jonny Farmelo.
Rival teams also have their eye on pitching prospects Logan Evans and Emerson Hancock. The Seattle Mariners “don’t expect money to be an issue,” according to the trio from The Athletic, and they intend to be aggressive in the trade market.
Although the team will undoubtedly face competition for some of the top players available, the Mariners’ willingness to part with significant money for well-known players and to provide a plethora of bright prospects puts them in a great position to acquire the hitters they require and desire before the MLB trade deadline on July 30.
