A.J. Terrell and Bijan Robinson are two of the Atlanta Falcons’ most important players right now because Robinson will likely lead the backfield and Terrell is the team’s best cornerback. Because of this, the crew values their health greatly, which makes the health update they provided today encouraging.
Robinson’s rather unexpected return to OTAs today was reported by Daniel Flick yesterday; the organization had previously hinted that Robinson would make a mandatory minicamp comeback. Terrell has resumed his activities as well, ensuring that he will be well for the summer. Although that was to be expected, it gives us more hope for the future the sooner we see these individuals back in action.
Running backs by definition need healthy ankles, and Robinson—who is particularly shifty—sees his recovery from what he described as a minor ankle ligament tear as encouraging. Terrell was simply experiencing hamstring soreness, so the team exercised caution.
Despite all the positive news, several Falcons continue to skip OTAs. Jase McClellan’s failure to suit up despite dealing with a pre-existing ailment raises some eyebrows, even though almost all of those are only mildly alarming at this point—it’s early June, and training camp is still practically two full months away. Nothing to worry about if he’s healthy for camp; but, if this injury persists until that time, Carlos Washington may have an opportunity to earn a roster place early in the season.
The following players were not present at the Falcons’ eighth OTA practice today: CB Mike Hughes, RB Jase McClellan, CB Kevin King, RB Robert Burns, OLB Bralen Trice, DE Eddie Goldman, DL Eddie Smith-Williams, DL Grady Jarrett, and DL David Onyemata.

As one might expect, with the season still ahead of us, a great offseason behind us, and not many things to dampen our spirits, now is a time to be optimistic. Take advantage of the fact that this club seems healthy going into a highly important season. This is just one more reason to be quite optimistic about June.

Flory Branch, Georgia: On Tuesday, the Atlanta Falcons announced the signing of offensive lineman Andrew Stueber.
The Falcons selected Stueber off the wire after the New England Patriots waived him on Monday.
Stueber was first selected by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2022 draft. He was placed on the non-football injury list for his rookie season and was added to the practice squad for his sophomore season. Stueber hasn’t yet played an actual NFL snap.
The Falcons dismissed wide receiver JaQuae Jackson, an undrafted free agency for 2024, in accordance with the movie.
