The Chiefs revealed Rice is battling an ankle injury on the latest report after being a full participant to start the week.
According to NBC Sports’ Peter King, Rice sustained the injury in practice after he got tangled up with a teammate and stepped on.
“[Rice] had to walk off and get treatment as concerned Chiefs officials tended to him on the first row of the bleachers on the sideline,” King reported.
However, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid provided an injury update after practice on Rice, and it didn’t sound too concerned about the injury.
