The Raiders will be looking to end a run of four consecutive defeats when they host the Warriors at GIO Stadium Canberra on Friday night.
Canberra has plummeted down the ladder into 11th after losses against the North Queensland Cowboys (18 points), Wests Tigers (24 points), Melbourne Storm (10 points), & more recently the Newcastle Knights (four points).
On a positive note for Ricky Stuart’s men, they hold a game in hand on the four teams sitting above them and go level with the eighth-placed Cowboys, but their poor points differential means this is a must-win match in front of their home crowd.
Elsewhere, New Zealand suffered heartbreak in Round 18, falling agonisingly one point short against the Canterbury Bulldogs in the golden point period.
The Warriors were held scoreless in the second half with momentum being a huge factor in that result.
These two sides have already met this season with the Warriors prevailing by eight points to make it three consecutive victories against the Raiders.
A chronic wrist injury has been impacting the 234-game veteran’s performance for much of the season.
After playing the first 10 games of the campaign, Harris was given a four-week break after the clash against the Roosters on 12 May to treat the wrist injury.
The 32-year-old returned for the round 14 match against the Cowboys and then played in the following three games against the Storm, Titans and Broncos.
Used off the bench in three of the encounters, he was on the field for just 25 minutes in the win over Brisbane.
While Harris was originally named for the round 18 clash against the Bulldogs on 6 July, he was subsequently withdrawn and initially ruled out indefinitely before a decision was made to have surgery.
