Caleb Williams is going to be front and center for NFL Films before he even takes a regular-season snap.
The NFL announced Thursday that the Chicago Bears will be featured on this year’s Hard Knocks ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
HBO and NFL Films provide an annual look at one team’s training camp and preseason preparation for the upcoming campaign, and the choice of Chicago will highlight plenty of storylines.
No storyline will be more apparent than Williams.
The rookie signal-caller was the No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft and could be the franchise quarterback the Bears have searched for throughout their history.
In fact, Chicago is the only team in NFL history to never have a 4,000-yard passer, and it wouldn’t be shocking if Williams changed that in his first year.
The Bears’ front office overhauled the offensive skill positions this offseason by trading quarterback Justin Fields, letting wide receiver Darnell Mooney go in free agency, drafting Williams, trading for star wide receiver Keenan Allen, signing running back D’Andre Swift and drafting wide receiver Rome Odunze.
Throw in the decision to hire offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, and Bears fans will get a glimpse at plenty of new faces during Hard Knocks.
“The 2024 training camp will be big for us in preparation for achieving our season goals and we look forward to bringing the fans at home along for the journey,” general manager Ryan Poles said in the Hard Knocks press release.
