Texas rangers fans only key player has an accident which result in death. so sad.
“A lot of excited fans out there ready to buy the gear. We should have lines outside in the morning waiting to get in,” Smiley said.
Whether it be tonight’s game, game 6, or game 7, the Academy will open early Thursday at 7 a.m. with all the World Series gear East Texans can purchase.
“There’s always the jerseys, there’s always the other shirts, and then of course we have can koozies and you know we’ll have flags,” Smiley said.
But some East Texans are in it for the love of the game. Just ask the UT Tyler head Baseball coach, Brent Porche.
“Most of our guys that come here, they want to play professional baseball and so that’s what they’re working towards every day while they’re here and that’s our job is to try to get them where they need to be to allow themselves to do that,” Porche said.
And no matter which team they are rooting for, Coach Porche says his players are learning from every game.
“You see somebody that’s your own age playing on the biggest stage in baseball, to see what they have done and what they’re doing to achieve their goals, it definitely gives the guys motivation,” Porche said.
TYLER, Texas — East Texans are hoping the Texas Rangers win tonight’s game to capture its first World Series Championship in their franchise history.
