Luton Town could face a battle to keep hold of the attacker following their relegation to the Championship. They finished in the bottom three of the Premier League along with Sheffield United and Burnley and will be eyeing an immediate promotion back to the top flight.
Adebayo, 26, scored 10 goals in 32 games in all competitions for the Hatters last season which was an impressive return for a team who went down. He made the switch to Kenilworth Road back in 2021 and has become one of the Bedfordshire club’s most prized assets over recent years.
As per Takvim, Fenerbahce are interested in luring him over to Istanbul this summer after they missed out on the Super Lig title. They have turned to former Chelsea and Manchester United man Jose Mourinho as their new manager.
Luton Town will be hoping that they can keep hold of Adebayo ahead of the next campaign.
However, attention from elsewhere is inevitable and they should be braced for approaches.
Fenerbahce could see him as someone to add more competition and depth to their striking department and could offer him the chance to play in Europe, which would be very hard to turn down.
Adebayo rose up through the youth ranks at Fulham and is a product of the Whites’ academy.
He never played for the first-team at Craven Cottage though and was loaned out as a youngster to get some experience under his belt with the likes of Slough Town, Cheltenham Town, Swindon Town and Stevenage.
Walsall snapped him up on a permanent basis in 2019 and he was a hit with the Saddlers, firing 18 goals in 65 outings.
That form earned him a switch to Luton Town and he hasn’t looked back since.
Adebayo helped the Hatters win promotion from the second tier last year and has found the net on 42 occasions for them in 140 games.
It would be a blow for Edwards if the Londoner was to depart over the next couple of months.
It is inevitable that players will leave though and that is something that they need to prepare for.
If Adebayo was to leave Luton Town, money would be freed up to try and find a replacement up front.
