Contract terminated new: Celtic general manager announced suddenly due to….

BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – A historic day for the city of Boston celebrating the Celtics record breaking 18th NBA championship. The parade will be taking place outside the TD Garden on Causeway Street Friday morning at 11 a.m.

There will be 25 duck boats rolling through the streets of Boston for the first time in 16 years for the Celtics.

This after the Celtics eliminated the Dallas Mavericks in game 5 in front of a home crowd on Monday night.

Preparations have been underway all week long getting the duck boats ready even adjusting the height of the floors for the tall players.

And not only has the city been getting ready but also the fans.

Some came out as early as 3 a.m. to get a front row spot to see their favorite players. “Tatum, also Tatum yes. And brown, and white and all of them and Porzingis and Holiday and Pritchard, and all of them,” a fan said.

About one million people are expected to line the city streets despite the heat.

There will be cooling tents at the Boston Commons and City Hall Plaza.

The duck boats will roll by City Hall Plaza then past the commons down Tremont Street and will come to an end at the Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street.

This is the first championship parade for the Celtics since 2008. It’s expected to last about an hour and a half wrapping up around 12:30 p.m.

We’ll have continuing coverage for you all day long on air and online.
