Florida State has four commitments in their 2025 recruiting class with five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.
The coaching staff has not been able to secure any prospects since January when Hilson de-committed from Alabama and flipped to Florida State after legendary head football coach Nick Saban retired.
The Seminoles have a combined 23-4 record over the past two seasons.
The program is starting to find sustainable success that recruits gravitate to.
The fan base hesitates with recruiting given what has transpired with losing recruits before Signing Day.
That is the nature of college football recruiting given teenagers are making one of the most difficult decisions of their lifetimes.
However, head football coach Mike Norvell has a plan where he is trying to get the best prospects that fit the Seminoles.
He is not trying to grab as many prospects just because of a star ranking. I realize that five-star prospects are foundational pieces.
However, every prospect does not always pan out.
We see all of these prospects trending to the Seminoles, but we have not seen anything come to fruition with commitments yet.
However, according to reports from On3’s Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong, Florida State leads for Class of 2025 five-star offensive tackle target Josh Petty from Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia.
It is noteworthy that Petty’s sister is going to school in Tallahassee.
That could be an easy transition for the family. Petty will be officially visiting the Seminoles on the weekend of June 21st when there will be over 20+ prospects on campus.
The coaching staff is putting all of its chips in on the weekend. Offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins is considered as one of the best recruiters on the coaching staff for the Seminoles.
Can he seal the deal for Florida State to acquire Petty?
