The Raiders began play in 1960 in the American Football League as one of eight original franchises.
The team then joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger before the 1970 season.
The Raiders own three Lombardi trophies, as winners of Super Bowls XI, XV and XVIII.
The franchise also won the 1967 AFL title and 2002 AFC Championship.
The 2024 NFL season is a potentially exciting one for the Raiders, who are now under the leadership of head coach Antonio Pierce.
The former linebackers coach became the team’s interim head coach after the firing of Josh McDaniels last season.
He then led the Raiders to a 5-4 finish after a 3-5 start, including a road win over the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
