AM LEAVING: QB Jalen Milroe threaten to leave Alabama Crimson Tide if nothing is done about this!
The SEC and ESPN on Tuesday announced two more kickoff times for Alabama games and provided specific windows for kickoff times of Alabama’s remaining 2024 regular-season games.
Alabama will kick off at 11 a.m. CT against South Carolina in Bryant-Denny Stadium on October 12, and will host Mercer at 1 p.m. CT on November 16. The South Carolina game will air on either ESPN or ABC, and the Mercer game will only stream on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
Additionally, the SEC said Alabama’s game October 5 at Vanderbilt will kick off in the afternoon window, which will be either 2:30 p.m. CT or 3:30 p.m. CT.
Games at Tennessee (October 19), vs. Missouri (October 26), at LSU (November 9), at Oklahoma (November 23) and vs. Auburn (November 30) were all assigned to the “Flex” category, which means they could either start in the afternoon (2:30 p.m. CT or 3:30 p.m. CT) or the night (5 p.m. CT to 7 p.m. CT). ESPN said exact start times will be announced no later than six days before kickoff.
The SEC and ESPN are able to announce kickoff times (or windows) for the entire season in advance this summer because of the conference’s new exclusive television deal with Disney that begins this season. All games will air on ABC or ESPN networks. Previously, the SEC split television deals between CBS and ESPN, with CBS picking the conference’s best game two weeks in advance. That delayed most kickoff time announcements by ESPN.
Kickoff times for Alabama’s first four games — vs. Western Kentucky, vs. South Florida, at Wisconsin and vs. Georgia — were previously announced.
Five-star receiver Kaliq Lockett has been focused on four programs, but he’s decided to make room for another school. The elite pass catcher out of Sachse (Texas) tells 247Sports that he added Alabama to his list of official visits.
247Sports ranks the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder as the nation’s No. 11 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver.
