Warriors coach Andrew Webster is adamant his side’s season isn’t over, despite their shocking 60-point loss to the Gold Coast Titans in Round 16.
Despite the New Zealand outfit failing to gain a foothold in the game, Webster insisted his side could still salvage their season.
“Today we were obviously very embarrassing. But we can definitely come back,” he said.
“The way we attack things from here is going to be the most important the
Webster’s side completed at 69 per cent, missed 51 tackles and made 13 errors in a performance as bad as any they’ve dished up in recent memory.
While admitting his side’s performance was embarrassing, Webster believes his side weren’t too high on their own supply following a promising last month.
“I was saying to the boys we had a three week period there where we were unbelievable,” he said.
“Even after the Dolphins (win in Round 12), we got a lot of players, senior players, back. We went up to North Queensland and had a great win there.
“Against Melbourne last week we were physical. We obviously got beaten but we certainly played in the right spirit, the way we want to play.”
