Vegas Derek Meadows, a five-star receiver from Bishop Gorman, traveled to Michigan this past weekend for his official visit. The 6-5, 200-pounder is expected to make one more trip to the Ann Arbor campus before committing at the beginning of his senior year. Before closing things down, he will also make stops to Georgia, Notre Dame, LSU, and Alabama.

Michigan’s trip to the state with Kainoa Winston’s father in April was so successful that it propelled Michigan into the final four. The impact was similar this past weekend when he returned to Ann Arbor with his whole family.
According to Winston, “They’re probably higher because it was even better than my first time,” as he stated to The Michigan Insider. “I gained more knowledge about the curriculum and increased exposure to the coaches, players, and other prospects. It feels great up there. I think I’m capable of succeeding up there. I think it would be good for my family if I moved up there. They can attend the games; it’s not too far. My dad, mom, and brother all thought it was nice up there. It was well-liked by all up there. We enjoyed the atmosphere up there as well as the coaching staff.”
