This season, Phil Parkinson’s team placed second in League Two, a full year after breaking all records in 2022–23 to win the National League pennant.
Wrexham, having advanced through consecutive seasons for the first time in the team’s history, will play in League One in 2024–25. With a massive investment from their well-known Hollywood owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the Reds are expected to continue moving up the divisions.
Barnett believes he and his teammates have grown accustomed to handling the high standards at The Racecourse and will look forward to moving up to the third tier without placing undue strain on themselves. Barnett celebrated with the players on their end-of-season vacation to Las Vegas.

“We have a strong squad and I know the gaffer will add to that,” the wing-back, who played for Shrewsbury Town in the third division in the past, stated.
The only way to enter the upcoming season fully confidently is to have received consecutive promotions.
