Announcement: Kentucky wildcats head coach John Calipari announce his resignation and departure after facing a brutal fight with………
Kentucky head coach John Calipari is one of the best college basketball coaches of all time, but should he be in the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) conversation?
According to Kentucky assistant coach Chin Coleman, the answer to that question is a resounding yes.
Coleman was recently talking with the media and giving Coach Calipari some praise. He went on to say, “He’s the goat for a reason. I did say that. Coach Cal is the goat. Let’s not get it twisted. He’s the goat, okay. I wanted to make sure I made that clear.”
A video of Coleman saying this was then tweeted out by Tristan Pharis, and former Kentucky star point guard and now current coach Tyler Ulis quote tweeted the video and said, “easily.”
Coach Calipari has done a lot during his coaching career and clearly has a ton of respect from his coaching staff and former players. The Hall of Fame head coach has more players in the NBA than any other college right now. There is no better recruiter in college basketball than Coach Cal. When he really wants a guy, he is going to get him.
While the last few years haven’t been the best, Coach Calipari has a team right now that legitimately could win a National Championship and has a loaded recruiting class coming in for the 2024-25 season.
It’s really hard to say Calipari is the goat, but he has had an incredible career coaching college hoops and has changed the lives of a ton of families by putting so many players in the NBA.
