Justin Bieber is sharing some vulnerable thoughts.
In a series of Instagram posts on May 9, the Grammy-winning superstar wrote about feeling like a “selfish” person who’s “hurt others unintentionally” but instead wants to focus on spreading love.
I’m just an average flawed guy, I’ve done things that have hurt others,” said Bieber, 31, in the first post. “I continue to do and say things that hurt others unintentionally. Yet I woke up this morning with another opportunity to grow and not be so selfish today.”
“Love draws us in. Love doesn’t condemn. Love believes the best. Love hopes all things and endures all things,” continued the “Sorry” singer. “It doesn’t keep record of wrong. Love helps u to forgive and love even your enemies.”
Bieber quickly shared a follow-up post. “I sometimes think I’m gonna get exposed if I tell people how selfish I am,” he wrote. “Like if I admitted that, maybe people wouldn’t like me or trust me.”
The Canadian-born artist added, “I thought if I was honest about the selfish things I was feeling that I was gonna be disqualified from the dreams I had of being included.”

“I would find myself even subconsciously blaming god for the bad feeling I woke up with rather than communicate with him and ask him to help me have a change of perspective,” said Bieber. “I’ve been really asking god to help me see the best in people. Even after being used in the way I have.”
He added, “Once again it’s easier to point the finger than it is to take ownership. It’s easy to say, ‘Damn [they’re] greedy,’ rather than to check the greed in our own hearts Only god can remove the greed and selfishness from our hearts.”
“Trying harder won’t work,” wrote Bieber. “Cuz I tried lol.”
Earlier this week, the “Love Yourself” musician’s wife Hailey attended the 2025 Met Gala in New York City on her own — and Justin complimented her look on Instagram, writing alongside a photo of his wife, “I see it I like it and I want it.”
He spent the night with friends watching the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Florida Panthers 5-4 in the opening playoff series game.
Justin recently shared photos from a trip to Iceland, where he spent time in a recording studio.
